ekko is the brainchild of three online “addicts” that believe that conversation and discussion leads to better things for all of us. At ekko we wanted to create an experience where anyone, anywhere could hold live conversations with friends, family, colleagues, or perfect strangers. We believe that most of our conversations happen around current events, news, passions, interests, and personal relations.
In order to build this experience our team set out to leverage the power of today’s technology to create a “lowest common denominator” platform where regardless of personal technology (OS, browser type, etc.), YOU could experience the power of a live, multi-user conversation from anywhere in the world using just a broadband connection and your mic and/or webcam. Use live audio or live video or enhanced IM OR all three together. Now YOU have the power to communicate instantly – No Download Necessary.
Keeping in mind that same sensibility we’ve also created our experience as a customizable and modular platform for our partners and clients. With the same ease that individuals can invite friends through our enhanced IMsm system to a conversation in live audio and/or video and watch videos together, our API web-service instantly allows our partners to create live conversations in their sites by picking, choosing and customizing the ekko Platform, around their content or focus. ekko believes the 1800 plus sites with more than 1 million unique visitors a month are already the places to be. We help them to allow YOU to extend the conversation around their content right on their sites.
